April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4, 1995) began her musical journey at the age of 7 when she took guitar and piano classes. April's first song was Different which she composed at the age of 12. At 14, April spent much time writing lyrics and perfecting her musicianship skills. The following years, she took writing trips along with her father in LA and NY. April also added additional themes to the tune "Take My Hand" to help her friends who dealt with problems like peer pressure, issues, or even teens who committed suicide. Lockhart is a well-known lifestyle influencer as well as having partnerships with clean beauty brands Ilia, has built an impressive following. Lockhart was born with no left hand and that is part of her story, but that's not the entire story. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook the fact that she has a disability. However, it doesn't insist on the issue. What is the message? The message is that we are more than the physical person we are. Our identities are complicated and include a myriad of dimensions. Lockhart, via video messages from his Nashville at home, claims that I do not want that to be a part of me. I am more than my physical self. But it does not affect my everyday living. I do the things I normally would and have adjusted to the limitations of my disability. Since it's a an integral part of me and something worthy of talking about. Lockhart's self-acceptance journey is one that will last for a long time, and she is an inspiration for this purpose. She admits that she has been through times when she felt uncomfortable in the way she dressed and showed her arms. She wears what she likes and posts photos of herself wearing the clothes she picks out on social platforms. Self-love, she says is a journey. I'm not sure whether you'll get to the end. It's a fact that I see for everyone, whatever they are struggling with. I think it's essential to surround yourself with people who are able to see and know your true heart.
